Common questions
How do I find the right tutor?
Tell us the subject and level you need and we'll match you with tutors who fit. You can read each tutor's profile, see their qualifications, and switch at any time if it isn't the right fit.
How do lessons happen?
Lessons are booked and held through fair-do, including secure video for online tuition. Your tutor sets their own availability, and you'll get reminders before each lesson.
Are tutors qualified and checked?
Tutors hold recognised teaching qualifications (such as QTS, PGCE or a relevant subject degree) and, where they work with children, an appropriate DBS check. Details are shown on each tutor's profile.
How much does it cost?
Tutors set their own fees, which you'll see before you book. See our pricing page for how the platform itself works.
I'm a parent — can I follow my child's progress?
Yes. Your tutor can invite you to the parent portal (£4.99/month per family), where you can see upcoming and past lessons, shared lesson notes and homework, quiz results in a grade book, and message the tutor directly. See our parents page for the full picture.
My tutor sent me a quiz link — do I need an account?
No. Quiz links your tutor shares work without signing in — open the link, take the quiz, and your tutor sees the result. If you have an account, quizzes also appear on your dashboard with any due dates.
